metawebs ("we," "us," or "our") sets out this Privacy Policy (this "Policy") for the handling of users' personal information in jpwork hub (the "Service"), which we operate. Terms used in this Policy have the meanings given in the Terms of Service of the Service.

1. Personal Information We Collect
We collect the following personal information in providing the Service:
- Registration information: name, nickname, email address, phone number, date of birth, nationality, country of residence, address, company information, profile picture, self-introduction, etc.
- Information for Partner screening and identity verification: qualifications and licenses, supporting documents, track record, etc.
- Transaction information: request details, message content, payment and payout records, etc. (Credit card numbers are collected by our payment processor and are not stored by us.)
- Inquiry content
- Usage information: login date and time, IP address, browser and device information, cookies, etc.
2. Purposes of Use
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
- To accept registrations for the Service and to verify and authenticate users
- To screen Partners' qualifications, licenses, and track record
- To accept requests, match Clients with Partners, and process payments and payouts
- To disclose information to the other party after a contract is concluded, to the extent necessary to provide the service
- To respond to inquiries and to contact users
- To provide notices, surveys, campaigns, and other information about the Service
- To prevent unauthorized access and misuse, and to prevent and handle disputes (including notifications of logins from new environments)
- To conduct monitoring under the Terms of Service (reviewing, analyzing, and recording messages and other content on the Service for legal compliance, dispute prevention, and maintaining and improving service quality)
- To respond to violations of the Terms of Service
- To improve the Service, develop new features, and analyze usage
3. Information Published or Disclosed Between Users
Partners' profile pictures, nicknames, nationalities, languages, qualifications, service areas, plans, self-introductions, and similar information are published on the Service.
For Clients, only the minimum necessary information is disclosed to Partners before a contract is concluded. Information that identifies an individual, such as names and contact details, is disclosed to the other party only after a contract is concluded and only to the extent necessary to provide the service. We do not make Clients' personal information public.
4. Provision to Third Parties
We do not provide personal information to third parties without the individual's prior consent, except in the following cases:
- Where required by law
- Where necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
- Where especially necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
- Where necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a party entrusted by one, in performing duties prescribed by law
5. Outsourcing
We may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information to external service providers to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, we select providers that manage personal information appropriately and supervise them as necessary and appropriate. Our main service providers are:

- Servers and email delivery: Amazon Web Services, Inc. (United States; data is stored in data centers in Japan)
- Machine translation: DeepL SE (Germany), Google LLC (United States)
- Writing assistance (AI): Google LLC (United States)
- Protection against unauthorized access: Cloudflare, Inc. (United States)
- Sign-in with Google: Google LLC (United States)
6. Provision to Third Parties in Foreign Countries
The service providers listed above include providers located outside Japan. Through contracts and other means, we require them to continuously take measures equivalent to those required under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan. For information on the personal information protection systems of each country, please refer to the website of the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan.
7. Security Measures
We take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information, including encrypted communications, access control, and encryption of stored data.
8. Cookies
The Service may use cookies and similar technologies to improve convenience and analyze usage. For the purposes and types of cookies and how to disable them, please see our Cookie Policy.
9. Personal Information After Withdrawal
When a user withdraws from the Service, we promptly delete personal information that identifies or allows us to contact the user, such as their name, contact details, address, profile picture, and supporting documents.
However, we retain the following information for as long as necessary after withdrawal, for legitimate reasons such as statutory retention obligations, confirming compliance with the Terms of Service (including the prohibition of direct transactions), and handling disputes:
- Copies of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) concluded with Partners
- Payment and transaction records
- Transaction history such as requests and messages
10. Requests for Disclosure, etc.
Users may request that we notify them of the purposes of use of, disclose, correct, add to, or delete, suspend the use of or erase, or stop providing to third parties their personal information. Please submit requests to the contact point below. After confirming your identity, we will respond within a reasonable period in accordance with applicable laws.
11. Voluntary Nature of Providing Personal Information
Providing personal information is voluntary. However, if you do not provide the required information, you may be unable to use all or part of the Service.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy in response to changes in laws or in the Service. The revised Policy takes effect when it is posted on the Service.
